SINGAPORE — Sep 3, 2025 — The crew of the cruise ship Genting Dream rescued a man found adrift in a small boat in the Straits of Malacca on Wednesday morning during a three‑night voyage from Singapore to Phuket. After the individual signalled for help, the ship initiated rescue procedures, brought him aboard, provided food and medical assessment, and reported that he is in stable condition. The cruise line said it is coordinating with relevant authorities for his safe transfer to shore.
A spokesperson confirmed the rescued person is an Indonesian citizen, and said the operation took roughly 30 minutes. The ship’s schedule was unaffected by the incident.
