The short version. We are a travel agent, not a cruise line. We book your sailing with the cruise company, and the cruise company's own conditions of carriage govern the voyage itself. Our job is to quote honestly, book correctly and help when something changes.

Who these terms are between
These terms are between you (the person making the booking, on behalf of everyone named on it) and Singapore Star Cruise, a partnership firm registered in India with GSTIN 05AFKFS2786L1ZC, registered office at Khasra No. 660, Ramola Hardware, Nathuwawala, Near Adarsh Colony, Dehradun, Uttarakhand 248008, and cruise desk at 311, Plot No. 1, Pocket 6, Vardhman Plaza, Sector 12, Dwarka, New Delhi 110078.
By asking us for a quote, confirming a booking or paying a deposit, you accept these terms on behalf of every traveller on the booking. Please make sure they have read them too, because we deal only with you as the lead guest.
Our role as a travel agent
We act as an agent for the cruise lines, hotels, tour operators and transport providers whose services we arrange. We are not the operator of your cruise, hotel stay or transfer.
This matters in practice:
- Your contract for the voyage is with the cruise line, and their conditions of carriage and ticket contract apply to it.
- Hotel stays, tours and transfers are supplied under the terms of the hotel or operator concerned.
- Where a supplier's terms are stricter than ours — for example on cancellation — the supplier's terms apply to that part of your trip. We will always tell you the applicable terms in writing before you pay.
What we are responsible for is our own work: quoting accurately, booking what you agreed, passing on your requests and documents correctly, and supporting you if plans change.
Quotes, prices and what is included
- Quotes are indicative until confirmed. Cruise fares change daily and a quote does not hold a cabin. A cabin is only held once the cruise line confirms it against a deposit.
- Our quotes itemise the cruise fare, port charges and taxes, gratuities, and any add-ons such as drinks packages, Wi-Fi, hotels, tours or transfers.
- Unless the quote says otherwise, the price excludes flights, travel insurance, shore excursions, specialty dining, alcoholic and speciality drinks, spa treatments, onboard purchases, visa fees and anything of a personal nature.
- Prices may be quoted in Singapore dollars, Indian rupees or another currency. Where we invoice in INR, GST applies at the rate prevailing on the invoice date and the amount is shown separately.
- Foreign exchange conversions used in a quote are indicative. The final amount can differ if the currency moves before payment, and we will tell you if it does.
Making a booking
- Give us the full name of every traveller exactly as printed in their passport, plus date of birth, nationality, passport number and expiry. Cruise lines charge for corrections, and some corrections are not possible after ticketing.
- A booking is confirmed only when the cruise line or supplier issues a confirmation and we send it to you. An email from us saying "we are holding this" is not a confirmation.
- Tell us about special requests — connecting cabins, accessible rooms, dietary needs, celebrations — at the time of booking. We pass every request on, but requests are not guaranteed unless the supplier confirms them in writing.
- You must be at least 18 to make a booking. Cruise lines set their own minimum ages for travel, for guests sharing a cabin without an adult, and for alcohol and casino access.
Payment and invoicing
- A deposit is normally required to hold a cabin, with the balance due by a date the cruise line sets. Both amounts and dates are stated on your invoice before you pay.
- If the balance is not received by the due date, the cruise line may cancel the booking and apply its cancellation charges. We will remind you, but we cannot hold a cabin without payment.
- We accept payment by the methods listed on your invoice. We never ask for payment through a personal account, a payment link sent from a free email address, or a messaging app. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, do not pay it — call us on +91 92121 53574 first.
- Bank charges, card fees or foreign exchange costs levied by your bank are yours to bear.
- Indian guests receive a GST invoice from our registered entity. Keep it; you will need it for any refund.
Changes by you
Tell us as early as possible. What is possible depends on the supplier:
- Name corrections (spelling) are usually possible for a fee before ticketing.
- Name changes (a different traveller) are treated as a cancellation and rebooking by most cruise lines.
- Date or ship changes are a cancellation and rebooking, and cancellation charges apply.
- Cabin upgrades are usually possible while space remains, at the current fare difference.
- We may charge a service fee for reissuing documents or rebooking. Any such fee is told to you before we act.
Cancellation and refunds
- Cancellation must be sent to us in writing by the lead guest, by email to info@singaporestarcruise.com. We act on the date we receive it.
- The cruise line's cancellation scale applies. These scales are time-based and become steeper closer to sailing; many sailings are fully non-refundable inside the final window. Your invoice carries the exact scale for your booking.
- Hotels, tours, transfers and flights follow their own cancellation rules, which can differ from the cruise line's.
- Where a refund is due, we return it through the same route you paid, after the supplier releases the funds to us. Supplier refunds commonly take several weeks and are outside our control.
- Any service fee we have already charged for work done is non-refundable. Third-party bank and card charges are not recoverable.
- Not turning up for a sailing, or being denied boarding for missing documents, is treated as a cancellation on the day with no refund.
Fare changes, fuel surcharges and taxes
Cruise lines reserve the right to change fares, introduce or withdraw surcharges, and pass on changes in port charges, taxes and government levies, including after you have booked.
- Fuel surcharges are set by the cruise line and can change during a season. As an example, the Genting Dream surcharge changed three times during 2026. Any surcharge applying to your booking is shown on your quote at the time of booking.
- Port charges, taxes and tourism levies at ports of call — for instance the Bali tourism levy — are set by governments and may be collected onboard.
- Gratuities are set by the cruise line, charged per guest per night, and are usually added to your onboard account rather than collected by us.
- We pass on such changes at cost. We do not add a margin to them.
Passports, visas and entry rules
- Every traveller needs a passport valid for at least six months beyond the sailing date, including infants and children, and including on sailings with no port call.
- Visas and entry permissions for Singapore and for every port of call are your responsibility. We guide Indian passport holders through the Singapore visa process, but we cannot guarantee any grant of visa, and a refused visa is not grounds for a refund from the cruise line.
- Singapore residents must carry their pass — Work Permit, Employment Pass, Long Term Pass, Student Pass, Dependant Pass or re-entry permit — alongside their passport.
- Everyone entering Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card online before arrival.
- Online check-in with the cruise line is mandatory and normally closes 48 hours before departure.
- If you are denied boarding or entry because of documents, the cruise line's no-show rules apply and no refund is due.
Health, fitness to travel and insurance
- Tell us at booking about any medical condition, mobility need, allergy or pregnancy that may affect travel. Cruise lines restrict travel in later stages of pregnancy and may require a fitness-to-travel letter.
- Accessible cabins are limited and must be requested at booking.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance covering medical care at sea and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, and baggage. We are not an insurer and do not issue policies.
- Onboard medical treatment is charged by the cruise line and can be expensive. Ships are not hospitals and may divert or disembark a guest on medical grounds.
Onboard accounts, gratuities and conduct
- You register a card at check-in for your onboard account. Gratuities, drinks, Wi-Fi, excursions and purchases are charged to it and settled before disembarkation.
- The cruise line's conduct rules apply on board. It may refuse boarding, disembark a guest at the next port, or charge for damage, with no refund from us or from them.
- Ships sail on time. If you are ashore and miss the all-aboard time, rejoining the ship is at your own cost and risk.
Changes and cancellations by the cruise line
Cruise lines may change itineraries, ports, times, ships or cabins, or cancel a sailing, for operational, weather, safety or commercial reasons. Missing a port because of weather is common and does not usually create a right to compensation.
If this happens we will tell you as soon as we know, set out the options the cruise line offers — usually a future cruise credit, an alternative sailing or a refund — and handle the paperwork for you at no extra charge. What you receive is what the cruise line offers; we cannot create a remedy they do not give.
Events outside anyone's control
Neither we nor the suppliers are liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including war or civil unrest, terrorism, epidemic or pandemic and related government measures, port or border closures, adverse weather and natural disasters, fire, industrial action, technical or mechanical failure of a vessel, and changes in law or government policy.
Our liability
- As agent, we are responsible for arranging your booking with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for the acts, omissions or default of a cruise line, hotel, tour operator or carrier.
- International conventions and the cruise line's own ticket contract limit the liability of carriers for death, injury, illness, delay and loss of baggage. Those limits apply to your voyage.
- Where we are found liable for our own failure, our liability is limited to the service fee we charged you, or where no separate fee was charged, to the amount you paid us for the affected part of the arrangement.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including missed connections, lost earnings or lost enjoyment.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or injury caused by our negligence.
Complaints and how to escalate
- On the spot. If something goes wrong on board or at a hotel, report it to the guest services desk immediately and ask for a reference. Most issues can only be fixed while you are there, and suppliers routinely reject complaints raised for the first time after the trip.
- Tell us at the same time. Message the consultant handling your booking so we can push from our side while you are still travelling.
- In writing within 28 days. Send a written complaint to info@singaporestarcruise.com with your booking reference and any reference given on board. We acknowledge within 7 working days and give a substantive reply as soon as the supplier responds to us.
Website content and partner links
- Sailing dates, fees and onboard details on this website come from the cruise lines' own published material and carry a "last verified" date. Cruise lines change these without notice, so we reconfirm every detail before holding a booking. Content on this site is information, not an offer, and does not form part of your contract.
- Some guide pages link to booking partners. Those links are marked and may earn us a commission. They never change the price you pay, and we do not recommend a product because of a commission.
- Ship names, cruise line names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We are an independent travel agency and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as a representative office of any cruise line.
- Text, layout and original graphics on this website belong to Singapore Star Cruise. Please do not republish them without permission.
Your personal data
We collect and use personal data to quote for and operate your booking, including passing traveller details to the cruise line and other suppliers. How we handle that data, how long we keep it and your rights are set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute between you and us, subject to any non-excludable right you have to bring proceedings where you live.
The cruise line's ticket contract may specify a different governing law and forum for claims relating to the voyage itself. That is a matter between you and the cruise line.
If any part of these terms is held to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms; the version published on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.

Something here unclear?
Ask before you book, not after. We would rather explain a cancellation scale twice than have you surprised by it.
