The best cruise lines sailing from Singapore in 2026–27 are Dream Cruises (Genting Dream), Royal Caribbean (Navigator of the Seas), Disney Cruise Line (Disney Adventure) and StarCruises (Star Voyager). These four run the short 2 to 5-night cruises most people mean when they search for a Singapore cruise. For longer holidays of 10 nights or more, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line sail from Singapore on selected dates between November and April.

Which one is "best" depends on who is travelling. Below we compare every line on price, cruise length, ports, food and who it suits, based on the sailings our cruise desk books every week for guests from Singapore, India and Malaysia.

Singapore cruise lines compared (2026–27)

Fares move every week and rise sharply in school holidays. Every fare above is before gratuities and port charges; we explain those further down.

How we compared them

We are a cruise travel company, not a cruise line, and we book all four short-cruise lines from Singapore. This comparison uses what matters when guests call us: total price including extras, how many nights you can spare, whether you want port days or a ship to stay on, food (especially halal, vegetarian and Jain), and how easy the ship is with children or grandparents. Where we quote guest opinion, it comes from our own post-cruise surveys; our Genting Dream review, for example, is based on 5,927 guest responses.

1. Dream Cruises: Genting Dream

The one most people start with. Genting Dream has sailed from Marina Bay Cruise Centre every week since December 2017. She is a 150,695-tonne ship for 3,352 guests, run by Dream Cruises under the StarDream Cruises group (the company that used to be called Resorts World Cruises).

• Itineraries (to April 2027): 2-night Weekend Getaway at sea, 2 nights to Melaka or Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), 3 nights to Phuket, Penang and Melaka or Penang and Port Klang, and a 5-night South Bali and Lombok sailing on 13 December 2026.
• On board: water slides, ropes course and zipline, the Zodiac Theatre, Zouk nightclub, a casino, and The Palace, a ship-within-a-ship with butler service.
• Food: the strongest Asian, Indian vegetarian and Jain choice from Singapore, and the only certified halal-friendly set-up.
• Cost: 2 nights from about SGD 299 per person, plus gratuities of SGD 27 to 40 per night and a SGD 10 per night fuel surcharge on bookings from 1 October 2026.
• Watch out for: slow check-in on busy Fridays and school holidays, and extras that add up.

2. Royal Caribbean: Navigator of the Seas

The thrill ship. Royal Caribbean has kept a ship in Singapore for most seasons since 2020. For 2026–27 it is Navigator of the Seas, based at Marina Bay Cruise Centre from late October 2026. Royal Caribbean first planned a six-month season, then extended her to sail year-round through October 2027.

• Itineraries: a 2-night weekend at sea, 3 nights to Penang, 4 nights to Penang and Phuket (the most booked), and 5 nights adding Langkawi, plus a few longer voyages.
• On board: The Blaster, the longest waterslide at sea, the Riptide headfirst slide, a FlowRider surf simulator, a real ice rink with skating shows, and a rock-climbing wall.
• Cost: fares usually sit above Genting Dream for the same length, plus gratuities of about USD 16 per guest per night (USD 18.50 in suites).
• Watch out for: there is no certified halal galley; halal meals are by request.

What comes next: Quantum of the Seas returns to Singapore from October 2027 to March 2028, and Voyager of the Seas adds a short Asia season from January to April 2028. 3. Disney Cruise Line: Disney Adventure

The family splurge. Disney Adventure started sailing from Marina Bay Cruise Centre on 10 March 2026. At over 208,000 tonnes and about 6,700 guests, she is one of the largest ships ever based in Singapore, and Disney's first ship based in Asia.

• Itineraries: 3-night cruises departing Mondays and 4-night cruises departing Thursdays. Both stay at sea with no port calls; the ship is the destination.
• On board: themed areas based on Disney, Pixar and Marvel, the Ironcycle Test Run roller coaster, Walt Disney Theatre shows, character meets and rotational dining.
• Cost: Disney publishes 3-night sailings from about USD 958 and 4-night sailings from about USD 1,318, for two guests including taxes and fees. School holidays cost noticeably more.
• Watch out for: no casino, no port days, and the highest fare of any short cruise from Singapore.

4. StarCruises: Star Voyager

The budget and small-port pick. Star Voyager is StarCruises' mid-size ship: 77,441 tonnes and 1,944 guests, about half the size of Genting Dream. She was first announced as Star Scorpio in early 2025, then renamed Star Voyager. She is back in Singapore from 25 September 2026 to 1 January 2027.

• Itineraries: 2 nights at sea, to Kuala Lumpur, Melaka or Pulau Pangkor; 3 nights pairing Penang with Kuala Lumpur, Melaka or Pangkor; a 4-night Langkawi, Pangkor and Kuala Lumpur sailing on 26 December 2026; and one-night one-way trips to Port Klang or Melaka.
• Terminal: most sailings leave from Singapore Cruise Centre at HarbourFront, not Marina Bay. Only 11 and 18 November and 26 December 2026 use Marina Bay.
• Cost: usually the lowest fares from Singapore, with the same gratuity rates as Genting Dream.
• Watch out for: a smaller entertainment line-up, and halal food on request rather than a certified set-up.

Longer cruises from Singapore: Princess, Celebrity and Norwegian

If you have two weeks rather than a weekend, a different group of lines sails from Singapore between November and April, mostly on longer or one-way voyages:

• Princess Cruises: Sapphire Princess and Diamond Princess both sail from Singapore in the 2026–27 season, only the second time the pair have been based here since 2018–19. Diamond Princess runs 11 cruises from November 2026 to March 2027, and both ships offer 14-day Christmas and Chinese New Year voyages to Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Good for older travellers and anyone who wants many ports in one trip.
• Celebrity Cruises: Celebrity Millennium sails long voyages from Singapore, such as a 20-night trip departing 23 November 2026. A more refined, adult feel.
• Norwegian Cruise Line: Norwegian Jade's Asia programme includes long voyages from Singapore, such as a 17-night sailing in January 2027. Norwegian's "Freestyle" style means no fixed dining times.
• Luxury lines: Seabourn, Silversea, Azamara and others call at or start voyages in Singapore on a handful of dates each winter.

These cruises are priced per voyage, run to specific dates, and are often one-way, so you fly home from Hong Kong, Tokyo or elsewhere. Ask us if you want one of these combined with flights and a Singapore stay.

Why older lists look different

If you have seen other "top Singapore cruise lines" lists, many are out of date. Ovation of the Seas finished her Singapore season in March 2026 and heads to Australia for 2027–28; Anthem and Spectrum of the Seas left earlier; Star Voyager's first Singapore season ended in early 2026 before this one started; and Resorts World Cruises no longer exists under that name, having become StarDream Cruises in 2025. Norwegian Cruise Line's Singapore departures in 2026–27 are longer Asia voyages rather than week-long round trips. The table at the top reflects what is actually sailing in 2026–27.

Best time to cruise from Singapore

Ships sail every month and the Straits are calm for most of the year. November to January is the wettest stretch, usually short heavy showers rather than rough seas, and February to April tends to be drier. Prices are highest in the June and November to December school holidays, over Christmas, Chinese New Year and Deepavali. The best value is usually on midweek departures outside those periods; Sunday and Tuesday sailings often cost less than Friday weekend cruises.

What a Singapore cruise really costs

The fare you see advertised is not the total. On every short cruise from Singapore, budget for:

• Gratuities: SGD 27 to 40 per guest per night on Genting Dream and Star Voyager; about USD 16 to 18.50 on Royal Caribbean.
• Surcharges and port charges: Genting Dream and Star Voyager add a SGD 10 per guest per night fuel surcharge on bookings from 1 October 2026.
• Wi-Fi, drinks and specialty restaurants: Genting Dream Wi-Fi starts at SGD 24 for a 2-night cruise; drinks packages from SGD 15 per night.
• Shore excursions on port-call itineraries.

Example: two adults on a 2-night Genting Dream Interior cabin pay about SGD 598 in fares, SGD 108 in gratuities and SGD 40 in fuel surcharge, roughly SGD 746 before drinks and Wi-Fi. Our quotes list every one of these on its own line.

Which cruise terminal: Marina Bay or HarbourFront?

Singapore has two cruise terminals, about 15 minutes apart by taxi. Check the one on your ticket.

• Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, 61 Marina Coastal Drive: Genting Dream, Navigator of the Seas, Disney Adventure and most big ships. Nearest MRT is Marina South Pier; from Changi Airport it is about 20 to 30 minutes by taxi. Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands are close by for a pre-cruise afternoon.
• Singapore Cruise Centre, HarbourFront, 5 Harbourfront Avenue: most Star Voyager sailings. HarbourFront MRT connects through VivoCity, and Sentosa and Universal Studios are next door.

Every guest needs a passport valid six months from the sailing date, even on a cruise to nowhere, and must submit the SG Arrival Card online within three days before arriving back in Singapore. Indian passport holders also need a Singapore visa.

Booking tips from our cruise desk

• Book school holidays early. June and November to December, Chinese New Year and Deepavali sailings fill first. See our school holiday cruise dates.
• Compare on the total, not the fare. A cheaper fare with higher gratuities can end up costing more.
• Pick the ship for the ports. Want Phuket? Genting Dream or Navigator. Langkawi? Navigator or Star Voyager. No ports at all? Disney Adventure or any weekend cruise.
