About this trip
This is the itinerary for guests who would rather see three cities than one. Singapore for three days, then a 3-night Genting Dream sailing that calls at Port Klang for Kuala Lumpur and at Penang. It is intense — two port days back to back — so we plan the Kuala Lumpur day carefully. Port Klang is about an hour from the city, and guests who do not arrange transport in advance lose half the day to traffic.

The ship berths at Port Klang. With transport arranged you get the Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves and Central Market. If you would rather stay close, Klang town is ten minutes away and is where bak kut teh was invented. Back on board before all-aboard.

George Town
Swettenham Pier opens onto the old town. Street art, clan jetties, Khoo Kongsi and a hawker lunch, then back on board for the final evening.

Questions about this package
Is Port Klang the same as Kuala Lumpur?
No, and this is the single most common mistake. Port Klang is an industrial port about an hour from the city. We arrange transport in advance so the day works — guests who take a taxi on the day usually spend more and see less.
Can we do both port days without a tour?
Penang, easily — the pier is in the old town. Kuala Lumpur, not really. The drive and the traffic make an unplanned day risky, and the ship does not wait.
Is this too rushed for older parents?
Two port days back to back is a lot of walking. If you are travelling with grandparents, the Penang-only 3-night package or the 2-night weekend cruise is gentler, and we will say so.
